NAPT September Webinar Series: Pediatric Patient Immobilization at PARTICLE presented by Orfit

When:  Sep 11, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM (ET)
Associated with  NAPT Educational Events

Join us for an educational webinar presented by NAPT Corporate Member, Orfit, exploring pediatric patient immobilization at the PARTICLE proton therapy center, part of UZ Leuven in Belgium.

With over five years of clinical experience, the PARTICLE team has developed tailored immobilization techniques for pediatric patients aged 1 to 6, addressing challenges related to their smaller anatomies. Using a multidisciplinary approach and a 3D-printed phantom for practice, the team refined best practices and designed custom masks to improve comfort for both anesthetized and conscious children.

This session will highlight patient-friendly immobilization strategies and their impact on pediatric radiotherapy.

Panelists:

  • Loreen Raymaekers, Department of Radiation Oncology, UZ Leuven / PARTICLE
  • Anneleen Goedgebeur, Department of Radiation Oncology, UZ Leuven / PARTICLE
